American Health Corporation was founded in 1985. Three facilities were purchased, two in Bessemer, AL and one in Greensboro, AL. During the course of the next 12 years AHC acquired or managed homes in New Jersey, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi,and Oregon.

The combined management of the operating team and the corporate support group serve as the impetus behind the continuing profit and success of AHC. The team has expertise in operating facilities from 49 to250 beds and up150 beds attached Assisted Living. Total emphasis is placed on rehabilitation and returning a patient home. Quality Assurance programs including clinical safety and risk management are incorporated into the policies and procedures of each nursing home. Continuing staff training insures performance of personnel in regard to providing quality care to each of the residents they serve. AHC's mission, continues as it did 20 years ago, to provide the best of care to its customer within the confines of the reimbursement and regulatory environment, .
